我走在林中的小径
I am walking on the path in the woods

每颗落土的种子都会努力向上萌芽生长
Every fallen seed will strive (try) to sprout and grow up,
不信?瞧，眼前这一片片树林，岂不就是种子过去努力的结果
Do not believe it ?See,in front of this piece of woods ,is not the result of the past efforts of seeds?
我走在林中的小径上，想起自己的童年
I walked on the path in the woods,thinging of my childhood,
(As I walked along the path in the woods, I thought of my childhood,)
今天的我，也就是自己过去像幼苗一样生长的结果
The person I am today is the result of my past growth as a seedling.
每当我看着这一片片树林
Whenever I am looking at this piece of woods,
有的在长叶，有的在开花，有的在结果
Some are growing leaves,some are blossoming,some are bearing fruits.
我就一半是欣喜，一半是悲伤
I am half joyful(happy),half sorrowful(sad).
一个人如果活了一生，仍然两手空空
If a person lives a lifetime(his whole life),and still has nothing in his hands,
不如一棵树有自己的结果，在日子的枝头
Is not better than a tree has its own results,on the branches of the day,
那与一掠而过的清风
That and a sweep of the passing breeze,
又有什么区别，又有什么两样
And what is the difference,and what is different?
岂不就像白活一场；岂不就愧对雨、露和阳光
Is it not like a vain life, not to be ashamed of the rain,dew and sunshine?
